What to do in Perros-Guirec: 12 ideas for a great stay
Perros-Guirec is the best-known seaside resort on the Pink Granite Coast: fine sandy beaches, jumbles of pink rocks sculpted by the sea, an archipelago protected as a nature reserve just offshore, and one of the most beautiful coastal paths in Brittany. Here are our ideas, from the closest to the furthest, starting from L’Anse Bleue.
On foot from the house
1. Trestrignel beach
Just a 5-minute walk away, this is our beach: a large sandy cove facing the bay, sheltered, where you can swim at high tide and walk at low tide.

2. The customs officers’ path (GR34)
The coastal path runs right past the house. Its most famous stretch links Trestraou beach to Ploumanac’h harbour through the pink granite rocks. We’ve dedicated a full article to it: the customs officers’ path, a practical guide.
3. The harbour and town centre
A quarter of an hour’s walk takes you to the shops, restaurants and marina.
A few minutes by car
4. Trestraou beach
Perros-Guirec’s main beach, lifeguarded in season, with its seafront, sailing and surf schools, and the ferry terminal where boats depart for the Sept-Îles.
5. Ploumanac’h and its lighthouse
The small harbour at Ploumanac’h, the Saint-Guirec oratory perched on the beach, the Mean Ruz lighthouse among the pink rocks, and Costaérès castle on its own islet: this is the heart of the Pink Granite Coast.

6. The Sept-Îles boat trip
A boat trip from Trestraou to get close to France’s only colony of northern gannets, and with a bit of luck, puffins or grey seals too. You’ll find all the details in our guide to the Sept-Îles boat trip.
7. Kayaking, paddleboarding and sailing
Exploring the coast from the sea gives you a whole new perspective on the rocks. Trestraou’s water sports centre runs guided kayak trips, and at Ploumanac’h you can hire kayaks and paddleboards. See water sports in Perros-Guirec.
With the family or in bad weather
8. Trégastel’s marine aquarium
Set among the granite rocks, just steps from Coz-Pors beach, it showcases the coast’s marine wildlife. A safe bet with children.
9. The Radôme park in Pleumeur-Bodou
The Cité des Télécoms and the Brittany Planetarium, both on the same site, offer interactive exhibitions for all ages.
10. The thalassotherapy centre
After a windy day, the heated seawater pools at the Trestraou thalassotherapy centre are another way to enjoy the sea. More ideas in what to do when it rains.
To round off the day
11. A sunset over the rocks
Along the coast, between Trestraou and Ploumanac’h, the rocks take on incredible colours at the end of the day. Make sure to check the sunset times.
12. The hot tub overlooking the bay
Our favourite tip, of course: head back to L’Anse Bleue and end the day in the hot tub, overlooking the bay, as the harbour lights come on.
